NUMSA is a dynamic revolutionary trade union which organises in the metal, engineering, auto, motor, tyre and rubber industries amongst others.

We have a well resourced internal legal department which is supplemented by a panel of external attorneys. NUMSA intends to review its current panel and is therefore inviting experienced attorneys who are interested in representing ordinary workers to send their practice profiles to the union.

NUMSA is looking for experience in labour law and an ability to think “outside of the box” when trying to resolve disputes. We are looking for experience in litigation and confidence to appear in court.

In our commercial lawyers we are looking for experience and practice in competition law, company law (including Business Rescue), liquidation etc.

We would also welcome profiles by Criminal Lawyers who we use to assist us in strike situations. All attorneys appointed to the panel will be required to sign a Service Level Agreement which will include the fees that NUMSA is prepared to pay.
