Has negotiated Sick Pay Funds that pay you maternity benefits and paid sick leave once you exhaust your annual sick leave.

As part of SAFTU, takes up issues that affect you at home and in your community like electricity hikes, E-tolls etc

Has links with other trade unions on the continent and internationally so as to build international worker solidarity eg, WFTU – World Federation of Trade unions Industrial – Industrial Global Union

Has almost 60 ounces with 345 staff across the country, all dedicated to ensuring that you, the member, come first!

OUR SECTORS

As a Numsa member you will have

  • Engineering sector– if you manufacture steel, or if you manufacture things made from steel like car components, aluminium cans, bolts, nuts etc, e.g. Scaw Metals, Macstee
  • Motor sector– if you work in a garage as a mechanic or petrol attendant, or if you sell cars, or parts for motor cars and if you make car parts, e.g. Auto zone, Petrol attendance
  • Auto/tyre sector– if you assemble cars, make tyres e.g. Continental, Bridgestone
  • Electronics sector– if you assemble TVs, telephones and make the cables for telephones and computers e.g. Siemens
  • Infrastructure– employees from Transnet, Prasa
    Eskom and Energy
