US actor Danny Glover and United Automobile Workers Union of America (UAW) delegation to visit NUMSA.
The National Office Bearers (NOBs’) of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), will receive a high level delegation of our fraternal and sister union from the United States of America (USA), the United Automobile Workers Union of America (UAW) led by its President BOB KING, accompanied by renowned, popular and Leftist actor DANNY GLOVER, this coming Thursday 30 May 2013.
Our sister union, the UAW, from the USA would be undertaking a working visit to South Africa to establish solidarity links with Numsa in a campaign to unmask the exploitation of Nissan worker’s in Mississippi USA.
Our comrades from UAW would be accompanied by the activist actor, Danny Glover, who has demonstrated his commitment to the cause of workers in the US.
Numsa will undertake a joint campaign with UAW to demand that worker rights of Mississippi Nissan workers are recognised. The Press Conference will be addressed by Numsa National Office Bearers and US delegation.
