International Worksop

BRICS is the forum of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. From 26th-27th March, the BRICS governments will hold the 5th BRICS summit, in Durban.
NUMSA has decided to organize this workshop, as we believe that the question of energy is clearly an important, if not even a central, concern for the BRICS countries.
There can be no question about the fact that for these economies to grow and develop, they will need to ensure a continually growing supply of energy.
As such, one of the agendas of the new entity called BRICS will have to be the question of energy production, distribution and consumption.

This is true both for the BRICS governments, and also, more importantly as concerns us here, for developing working class perspectives about BRICS.
