On a daily basis, we as shop stewards sacrifice for our members. We do not receive salaries from the union.

Many members have a tendency of being disrespectful towards their respective leaders because they pay union subscriptions.

Supervisors especially can influence members in a bad way because they also believe that they own production like the capitalists. Some supervisors do not even attend general meetings.

But if they do, after the meetings, capitalists already know what war the union will attack with.

Before they blamed the blue-eyed boys, they were our fellow operators, but as soon as they got a position, their accent and language changes to that of the capitalists.

So leaders let us engage not only members to be disciplined but also the blue-eyed boys so that they know our battle is against capitalists and not against one another.
