The National Energy Regulator (NERSA) will conduct public hearings on Eskom’s revenue application for the 2018/19 financial year in all nine provinces between 20 October 2017 and 16 November 2017. Eskom has applied for a total allowable revenue of R219,514m. Eskom’s total allowable revenue application translates to a 19.9% average increase in electricity tariffs.

The closing date for registration is Monday, 23 October 2017 at 15:30.
Kindly note that if NERSA does not receive any requests to present at the above public hearings, NERSA retains the right not to hold the scheduled hearings. The dates of the public hearings might be extended depending on the number of presenters who register.
