Numsa members at Glencore demands on the strike were  two fold; mainly about benefits and conditions, but there  were also an express set of demands relating to women  workers. 
The biggest issue was around the flouting of maternity benefits, 3 women had miscarried due to the stress of being sent home on discovering that they were pregnant.
