COSATU’S affiliated unions to hold a Press Conference on COSATU Special National Congress and Charge Sheet against General Secretary, Zwelinzima Vavi on Wednesday 29 January 2014, St Georges Hotel, Irene, Pretoria.
The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) affiliated unions, namely National Union of Metalworkers of SA (NUMSA), Food and Allied Workers Union (FAWU), South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU), South African Catering Commercial and Allied Workers Union (SACCAWU), Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA), South African State and Allied Workers Union (SASAWU), Communication Workers Union (CWU), South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) and Public and Allied Workers Union of South Africa (PAWUSA), shall hold a Press Conference this coming Wednesday 29 January 2014, at 11h00am, St Georges Hotel, Irene, Pretoria, Gauteng province.
The Press Conference will be addressed by the above-mentioned unions National Office Bearers (NOBs’) on matters related to the long delayed COSATU’s Special National Congress (SNC); unlawful suspension and unprocedural disciplinary charges lodged against the COSATU General Secretary comrade Zwelinzima Vavi by COSATU’s National Office Bearers (NOBs).
