IRVIN JIM SPEAKS…..WILLIES MCHUNU SPEAKS…..!
17 June 2011
IRVIN JIM, NUMSA General Secretary and WILLIES MCHUNU, former NUMSA Organizer and currently ANC Deputy Chairperson, they will jointly address the JABULILE NDLOVU MEMORIAL LECTURE, happening Saturday 18 June 2011, Jabu Ndlovu House, 129 Che Guevara Road, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal province.
Cde Jabulile Ndlovu was a NUMSA Shopsteward, UDF activist and community leader in Midlands (Pietermaritzburg). She was brutally killed by INKATHA warlords on her return from the NUMSA National Congress that bestowed the late SACP and ANC stalwart Cde Harry ‘Mdala’ Gwala with the highest honour of being Honorary President of NUMSA.
The Memorial Lecture is a befitting tribute to remember and honour Cde Ndlovu’s rich contribution in the struggle for social justice, peace, democracy and freedom. The Memorial Lecture is taking place amidst infighting and burning down of ANC Regional Offices in her Region (Moses Mabhida/ uMsunduzi) over the flawed local government electoral list process.
