COSATU GAUTENG AFFILIATES TO HOLD A PEACEFUL PICKET OUTSIDE COSATU HSE

The ordinary Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) will be sitting next-week Monday 02 March 2015, at COSATU House, 110 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng province.
The CEC scheduled for next-week is highly expected that ALL COSATU’s affiliate’s leaders will be in attendance, including the National Office Bearers (NOBs’) of COSATU.
Cosatu’s Affiliates in Gauteng have organised a mass picket outside COSATU House tomorrow Friday 27 February 2015, starting at 10H30am-until-14H00pm, (1) to demand the CEC to rescind its decision to expel Numsa from the Federation of workers, since majority of CEC delegates did not seek mandates from their respective Affiliates; (2) calling on Cosatu President S’dumo Dlamini to convene the Special National Congress (SNC) as matter of urgency; (3) and the removal of Zingiswa Losi, as a National Office Bearer (NOB), since she is NO longer a Shopsteward.
The picket will be addressed by the Provincial Office Bearers (POBs’) of Cosatu Gauteng Affiliates. A Memorandum of Demands from Cosatu’s Gauteng affiliates will be delivered at 12H00midday.
