Members of the media are hereby invited to the official launch of the Numsa Research and Policy Institute on Sunday 03 November 2013, starting at 12h00 midday, Professional Development Hub Building, Wits University, Empire Road, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng province.

The launch will be addressed by ANC and SACP veteran comrade RONNIE KASRILS. The launch will be attended by members of Numsa, Cosatu, academia and other progressive or Left-leaning research institutes in the country.

Furthermore, the launch of our Institute will be followed by an International Colloquium on “Building an alternative development paradigm in a changing global political and economic context”, starting on Sunday November 03, 2013 –until- Wednesday November 06, 2013, at the Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre, Benoni, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng province. The Colloquium will be attended by local and international guests, and will receive presentations from various left scholars or thinkers from international countries.

Numsa President Comrade CEDRIC GINA will officially open the Colloquium on behalf of the National Office Bearers (NOBs) at the reception dinner on 03 November while Numsa’s General Secretary Comrade IRVIN JIM will deliver Numsa’s presentation on the first day of the colloquium.
