The National Office Bearers (NOBs) of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) will be convening an urgent National Executive Committee (NEC) to brief the NEC on the outcomes of the special Central Executive Committee (CEC) of COSATU that was held yesterday Wednesday 14 August 2013, COSATU House, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng province.

Furthermore, we will also use this watershed Press Conference to announce details of rolling mass action or strike actions, after the collapse collective bargaining negotiations in the strategic and key sectors of the economy where we are organizing as a union.

The Press Conference will be addressed by NUMSA General Secretary IRVIN JIM, President CEDRIC GINA, Deputy General Secretary KARL CLOETE, 1st Deputy President ANDREW CHIRWA, 2nd Deputy President CHRISTINE OLIVIER and National Treasurer MPHUMZI MAQUNGO.
