WFTU supports Palestine

More than 500 shop stewards and members of WFTU affiliates in South Africa marched to the Israeli embassy in Pretoria on June 19 to demand the release of Palestinians held in Israeli jails and allow the people of Palestine their right to self-determination.

The demonstration was addressed by the first deputy president Andrew Chirwa, who condemned the Israeli government for continuously violating the rights of the people of Palestine.

The deputy president also thanked our shop stewards, who came in numbers to support the action shoulder to shoulder with Nehawu, Ceppwawu and Popcru.
