THE CRISIS IN SWAZILAND DEEPENS ; MASS CAMPAIGN OF DEFIANCE ESCALATED TO NEW HEIGHTS

URGENT PRESS CONFERENCE CALLED BY COSATU/SDC 

The leadership of the mass protests that rocked Swaziland last week give their side of the story on police brutality, the R2.4bn bailout, and plans to escalate the campaign for democracy. 

Despite being viciously attacked by security forces that left many injured, mass defiance rocked Swaziland last week. Thousands marched as part of the Global Week of Action in all parts of Swaziland, and asserted their democratic rights in the face of brutal state repression.
 

Trade Union Leaders have travelled from Swaziland to address an urgent press conference at 12.00 noon today, Monday 12th September at the NUMSA Head Office, 153 Cnr Bree and Gerard Sekota Streets, Newtown, Johannesburg. From the Labour Coordinating Committee:
