Traditional healers’ sick notes recognised?

If all goes according to plan, a Bill that will provide for the setting up of the Traditional Health Practitioners Interim Council will go before Parliament next year.

If it is passed, then traditional healers will be able to register with the Council. And then workers with medical certificates signed by registered healers could be able to submit them to employers as proof of illness and to claim expenses from medical aids as with normal doctors.
