He is currently an ordinary member of his ANC branch, Ward 1 in Richards Bay, North Coast Region called Musa Dladla Region.

He is also an interim convenor of the SACP in his district. Gina says he will work tirelessly and collectively to ensure that the resolutions taken in this congress are fully implemented for the benefit of the working class and the poor.

In the community she is playing a very important role in assisting young ones who are abusing substances eg drugs, alcohol.

Her first priority as second vice president will be to ensure that members are serviced. She believes that Numsa has moved away from its membership base.

Mphumzi Maqungo, National Treasurer

Maqungo has also represented Numsa in the GM world company council where representatives of all GM workplaces have met globally since 2005.

Irvin Jim, General Secretary

While at school he was a member of Sansco. He was the one who negotiated a merger between Sansco and Nusa. He was also a Cosas activist.

He has served two terms as the deputy secretary of the SACP (provincially) and is on the tender board of the Eastern Cape socio-economic council.

Karl Cloete, Deputy General Secretary

Born 13 September 1966 on a farm between Klaver and Vredendal near Cape Town. He was baptised in politics by Atlantis Christian Youth Association in 1981. After that he never looked back, his love for the mass movement flourished. Cloete is currently an organizer in the Western Cape region.

1982-1984 Activist for South African Allied Workers Union (SAAWU) and Clothing Workers Union (CLOWU) in Atlantis during 1982 – 1984. Both unions became affiliates of the UDF.
1984 Member of the 1st UDF Steering Committee in Atlantis in 1984.
1987 Recruited into the ANC underground in 1987 COSATU Atlantis Local Secretary.
1993 Resigned as Councillor when Numsa adopted the position that full-time officials of the union cannot be Councillors. He was a Councillor on the Transitional Council.

He is a board member of the Merseta. He is also SACP Western Cape Provincial Chairperson and ex-officio delegate to the SACP Central Committee. He will ensure that resolutions that were taken in this congress are implemented and all regions should be part of that.
